Over 196,000 graduates of the 8th grade took yesterday, under video surveillance, the Romanian Language examination of the national evaluation – whose results will matter for the admission to high-schools, Mediafax reports. In Bucharest, 11,562 pupils take the national evaluation, 210 of them in the private education system. According to the spokesman of the Bucharest School Inspectorate (ISMB), Marian Banu, there were 52 special cases in Bucharest, involving 8 pupils that take the national evaluation at home or in hospital. All 52 pupils were video monitored while taking the exam, same as all the other candidates, Banu added. In Timis County, 137 pupils missed yesterday’s exam and another candidate was expelled because he had the mobile phone on him. The national evaluation of 8th grade graduates continues today with the maternal language and literature exam and tomorrow with the mathematics examination. The results will be announced Saturday, June 29.
