“Caragiale’s Bucharest” Festival, July 1-Sept 15

The 2nd “Caragiale’s Bucharest” Festival, July 1-Sept 15, will include comedy, classical, modern theater and music hall performances, and various-genre music. The organizers of the event are Bucharest City Hall, thru the Administration of Monuments and Tourist Heritage, in cooperation with the State Jewish Theater, Tandarica Theater, Comedy Theater, Metropolis Theater, Masca Theater, Nottara Theater, National University of Theater and Film and Hyperion University.
As with last year’s edition, central Bucharest, Children’s World Park and Conu’ Iancu’s restaurant at  Hala Traian will host comedy, classical, modern theater and music hall performances, and various-genre music including fanfare music, Romanian traditional folk music sung by the late Maria Tanase, operreta and opera music.
The event was officially opened last evening on the stage set in the Historic District (Franceza and Postei St. Junction, at the back of the   National Museum of Romanian History).
Admission is free throughout the festival.
