Traian Basescu awarded the national order ‘Star of Romania’ with the rank of knight to musicologist Viorel Cosma, on his 90th anniversary. The medal was awarded “as outstanding appreciation for his entire activity as musicologist, lexicography expert, musical critic and professor, for his talent and dedication, enriching the Romanian musical culture with works of certain value.”
