The Bucharest National Airports Corporation (CNAB) on Monday was issued a High Patronage of King Mihai I of Romania certificate for the 5th edition of the Bucharest International Air Show and General Aviation Exhibition. ‘Unlike the previous four editions, this one will be unfolded under the high patronage of King Mihai I. This is a fact that has direct, practical, concrete and historic significances, and, maybe more important than this, symbolic, cultural and identity significances. I have the privileged of having been selected by His Majesty to represent him today here and hand over to you, the most important representatives of the event, the high patronage certificate, which I hope will accompany you and inspire you from now on for many editions, which I also hope we will attend together,’ said Prince Radu upon presenting the certificate to CNAB Deputy Director General Cornel Poteras. Prince Radu mentioned that a representative of the Royal House will attend the opening of the 5th edition of the show, ‘for deservedly starting off the very promising suite of events.’ Poteras thanked for the ‘exceptional opportunity’ offered by the Royal House, saying that this ‘is generating valuable memories.’ This year’s edition of the Bucharest International Air Show, to be held July 27-28 at the Aurel Vlaicu Bucharest International Airport at Baneasa, is celebrating the centennial of Romania’s military aeronautics and the 90th anniversary of the Romanian Air Club.
