President Basescu on R. of Moldova visit

Romanian President Traian Basescu will pay today a visit to Chisinau, on which occasion he will meet his Moldovan counterpart, Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and also the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Corman. According to the press office of the Presidential Administration, the Moldovan President, Nicolae Timofti, will receive Traian Basescu at 10:00 am. At 12:00 Traian Basescu is scheduled to meet Moldovan head of the Executive, Iurie Leanca, following at 12:35 am the Romanian President to have a meeting with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Corman. The visit also includes a ceremony during which Traian Basescu will lay a wreath at ‘Stefan the Great’ Monument. The Moldovan President will give a luncheon at the Cricova Winery in the honour of the Romanian President. Traian Basescu will also meet during his visit to Moldova the Mayor of Chisinau, Dorin Chirtoaca, at 16:00 pm, the President of the Democratic Liberal Party in this country, Vlaidmir Filat, the President of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu, the President of the Liberal Party, Mihai Ghimpu, as well as leaders of opinions of the civil society.
