Bronze medal at International Biology Olympics

Romanian pupils won three bronze medals at the International Biology Olympics that took place in the Swiss capital of Berne. Citing a Ministry of Education press release, Mediafax reports that these results are similar to last year’s competition. According to the same source, the three medal winners are Oana Elena Baran (from the International Computer Science High School in Bucharest), Vlad Cosoreanu (“Ovidius” Theoretical High School in Constanta) and Cristian Alexandru Bolundut (“Tiberiu Popoviciu” High School in Cluj-Napoca), who was also bronze winner at last year’s edition. The International Biology Olympics, now in its 24th edition, gathered 240 contestants from 60 countries between 14 and 20 July.
