Pipes manufacturer TenarisSilcotub, which operates 7 facilities in Romania, increased its personnel to 1,528 since at the beginning of July this year, which accounts for a 50 pc staff increase over the economic boom times (2008), zf.ro reports. Since the end of 2012, the company hired approximately 50 employees. Last year, Tenaris had an income growth of 80 pc, to EUR 374 M, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance. “We cannot say that it is hard to recruit for a certain position because we receive many applications for the available jobs, regardless of their requirements. The problem is that we face difficulties in selecting them, because the youths that come for interviews have a knowledge basis rather theoretic than practical, or because the persons with a level of seniority do not know details about niche companies,” said Ionut Cosmin, HR analyst with TenarisSilcotub.
