Romanian milling, baking and pasta producer Pambac recently took a EUR 9 M loan from Banca Transilvania to support its current investments in the shops network and in its production lines, a press release informs. Pambac owns a chain of stores under this brand in its hometown Bacau. The producer is likely to expand its chain of stores. Banca Transilvania reported loans of EUR 4 bn end – June this year, mostly loans granted in RON, and out of which 65 percent were granted to companies. Pambac was recently taken over from its members of the board, which were also shareholders, by two entrepreneurs based in Bacau, Catalin Grigoriu and Eusebiu Gutu. Pambac had a EUR 38 M turnover last year and is one of the largest producers in Romania on its segment.
