Money Gov’t earmarked to Management Authorities to speed up EU funds absorption


The loan worth approximately RON 900 M (about EUR 204.32 M) the Government earmarked to the Management Authorities represents a real support for speeding up the European funds absorption and the amounts paid to beneficiaries will be subsequently requested for reimbursement from the European Commission, European Funds Minister Eugen Teodorovici pointed out, according to a release the European Funds Ministry (MFE) remitted yesterday. ‘The loans approved by the Government represent a real support for speeding up the European funds absorption, in the conditions in which the amounts paid to beneficiaries are subsequently requested for reimbursement from the European Commission,’ Minister Teodorovici said. For the invoice payment to the beneficiaries of the projects funded through the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development an amount standing at RON 350 M was earmarked. At the same time, funds worth over RON 260 M were allotted, for making payments to Regional Operational Programme beneficiaries, and funds worth RON 250 M were allotted for paying the invoices to the Sectoral Operational Programme Environment beneficiaries.
