Over 150 wanted persons whose descriptions were introduced in the Schengen Information System and 34 cars wanted in order to be impounded or used as evidence in investigations were found in the last week, the Romanian Police informed yesterday. From July 27 to August 3, 154 persons, 34 auto vehicles and eight documents that had been introduced in the Schengen Information System (SIS) were identified by Romanian and foreign police officers, as a result of cooperation through the SIRENE Bureau, a communiqué issued by the Romanian Police shows. The Romanian police officers found 112 persons, 13 of which had European arrest warrants on their names, 49 were wanted in order to take part in judiciary procedures and four others were listed as missing. At the same time, 31 auto vehicles wanted in Schengen countries in order to be impounded or used as evidence in criminal prosecution procedures, as well as two documents issued by other states were found in Romania.
