ANAF: Number of jobs remains the same

The National Agency of Fiscal Administration (ANAF) will retain the same number of jobs after the reorganisation process, but the institution’s staffing scheme will become more flexible, depending on the scale of the activity conducted by each regional branch, jurnalul.ro reports.
Some civil servants will be made redundant as part of the ANAF reorganisation process and they can opt for vacant positions, with the selection being made by contest if at least two persons choose the same job, the institution announced yesterday. ANAF did not mention how many of its employees will receive the layoff notice.
According to the institution, the list of vacant positions will be finalised in 7 days at most and will be posted at the HQs of the territorial fiscal units of ANAF and also on the institution’s website. “If two or more civil servants opt for the same job, a contest will be organised for the execution or leading job,” ANAF explains.
At the end of June the government approved the founding of the Antifraud Department that will also operate under the supervision of the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office, by taking over the attributions of the National Authority of Customs and Financial Guard.
