Ambulance involved in accident in Bucharest

Ambulance from Dambovita that was transporting a haemophiliac yesterday flipped over in the area Iancu de Hunedoara in Bucharest. Following the accident, the patient, the nurse and the driver were taken to the Floreasca Emergency Hospital. Andrei Codau, spokesperson for the Road Traffic Brigade of Bucharest stated that the accident occurred around 11:10 a.m. on Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, toward Stefan cel Mare Motorway, when the ambulance whose signalling system was on was hit by a Ford at the Roma and Caderea Bastiliei junction. According to Codau, the Ford hit the ambulance on the side, causing it to collide with other cars that were parked on the right-hand side of the road. Traffic was interrupted for approximately 20 minutes.
