Erste Group integrally repays the participative capital

Erste Group Bank AG integrally repaid the participative capital issued in 2009, worth EUR 1.76 bln in total, of which EUR 1.22 bln subscribed by the Republic of Austria and EUR 540 M subscribed by private investors, reads a press release.
During 2009 – 2012, the Republic of Austria received annual dividends worth EUR 98 M from Erste Group and private investors received EUR 43 M. In total, including the dividends for 2013 proportional with shareholding durations, which will be granted after approval by the General Assembly of Shareholders, the Republic of Austria will receive EUR 448 M and private investors will be allocated EUR 198 M. “We have a special consideration for the federal government of Austria, which had a rapid reaction five years ago and we also want to thank the Austrian private contributors and investors that maintained their confidence in us,” said Andreas Treichl, CEO Erste Group. “The 8 pc dividend was a very good deal for all foreign investors and contributors”.
