Lancia, Lexus and Jaguar, the rare auto brands most appreciated by Romanians in H1

The brands Lancia, Lexus and Jaguar hold the first three positions in a top of rare automobiles newly registered in Romania during the first 6 months of the year, according to drpciv.ro. Between January-June 2013, 16 Romanians chose Lancia, most of them being registered in April and May (4 units each month). Second comes Lexus, with 15 vehicles newly registered in Romania, of which 8 in January alone. The third place of the podium is occupied by Jaguar, with 14 units (5/month in January and June), followed – at significant distance – by Bentley, JEEP and Subaru, each with 6 units. According to official figures, in H1 2013 Romanians registered 5 new Ferrari and 5 smart, while the models Maserati and Lada are reported with 4 units each.
The list of rare newly registered brands, as made public by DRPCIV – the Department for Driving Licenses and Vehicle Registration – for the first six months of the year, also includes Infiniti and Alfa Romeo (3 automobiles each), Quattro, ARO, Aston Martin and Cadillac (2 units each), and Lamborghini, Daewoo, GWM and Bufori (from Bufori Motor Car Malaesia) – one car each.
At the end of last year, 4,485,148 cars were registered in Romania, most of them manufactured by Dacia (31.6 pc), followed by the German brands Volkswagen and Opel, according to drpciv.ro.
