Dog days, thermal discomfort, throughout Romania on Wednesday


National Meteorology Administration (ANM), on Tuesday, issued a warning against dog days and thermal discomfort valid throughout the country, on Wednesday. Meteorologists say that weather will be hot in most areas, and extremely hot in Oltenia, Walachia (both south), Banat (west), Dobrogea (southeast), and in southern Moldavia (east), on Aug 14. At the same time, the temperature-humidity Index (THI) will attain the critical threshold of 80 thermal discomfort. The temperature in the above mentioned areas, 37 Celsius degrees in the Danube Meadow, on Wednesday Aug 14.
