Oltchim cut losses by more than 20 pc in H1


Oltchim (OLT) reported for the first half of this year losses of RON 147.4 M, smaller than the RON 182.2 M a year ago, while using only 18 pc of its production capacity, half the figure reported for H1 2012, Mediafax informs. The company had incomes of RON 239.1 M, down from RON 533.9 M in the first half of past year, and expenses of RON 386.6 M, down from RON 722.2 M at 30 June 2012. The chemical plant posted sales of RON 210.5 M, of which almost 60 pc were exports. The biggest share of total sales was held by petrochemical (RON 116.7 M) and chlorosodic (RON 54.6 M) products.
