Over 87,000 candidates to participate in the second session of the Baccalaureate

Over 87,000 candidates applied for taking the August-September session of the Baccalaureate exam, which began yesterday, 67 pc of them being graduates of the 2012-2013 class and 33 pc having graduated the high-school the previous years.
According to the Ministry of National Education, 17,758 candidates will take the test for evaluating the competences of communication in the Romanian language and 648 the mother tongue’s test (625 for Hungarian, 21 for German and 2 for Ukrainian).
Moreover, 18,270 candidates will take the test aimed at evaluating the competences of communication in a language of international circulation. Out of these, 15,893 chose English, 2,129 French, 109 German, 82 Spanish, 34 Italian, 20 Russian and 3 Hebrew. The test for evaluating digital competences will be taken by 17,866 candidates, MEN informs
