Romanian language baccalaureate exam taken by 55,000 high school graduate students

Over 55,000 high school graduate students have taken yesterday the first written exam of the second session of the baccalaureate, that in the Romanian grammar and literature, Mediafax informs. For the August-September session of the baccalaureate exam 55,741 candidates were registered to take the written exam in Romanian grammar and literature. The written exam for the mother tongue grammar and literature will be taken today. For this exam 1,367 candidates were registered, out of which 1,328 for Hungarian, 32 for German, six for Ukrainian and one for Serbian. For the compulsory exam according to the profile, that will be taken tomorrow, 56,546 candidates were registered out of which 51,940 will take the exam in Math and 4,606 in History. The last exam for the baccalaureate exam this year will be the one chosen according to the profile and specialization and will be taken on Friday, August 30. For this exam 53,837 graduating students were registered, out of which 31,119 will take the exam in Biology, 11,970 in Geography, 6,026 in Physics, 3,549 in Chemistry, 383 in Computer Science, 300 in Logics, 193 in Economy, 176 in Psychology, 142 in Sociology and 79 in Philosophy. The first results will be announced on September 2, before 12 o’clock and any complaints must be submitted between 12 and 4 o’clock in the afternoon the same day. The complaints will be analyzed on September 3 and 4 and on September 5 the final results will be announced. For the autumn session of the baccalaureate over 87,000 graduate students were registered, 67% being from the 2012-2013 classes and the rest from previous years, the Ministry of Education informs.
We remind our readers that a few days before the beginning of the written exams, the Minister of Education, Remus Pricopie, asked the school inspectors “not to show any kind of emotion if they face a fraud situation” during the written exams of the baccalaureate that starts on Monday, and to immediately report any irregularities. Pricopie asked everyone to respect the exam methodology and wanted determination on the part of the inspectors in reporting any fraud case.
