The number of houses that were finished in the first half of the year was 16,859, up by 793 from the same time span of 2012, according to the data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) on Tuesday. In the second quarter of this year the number of houses came up to 9,177, down by 27 houses from the second quarter of 2012. By residence areas, in the first six months of 2013 the most numerous houses were finished in the rural area. They account for 54.5 percent of the total. The distribution of the funds meant for financing finished houses reveals the fact that, from the first six months of 2012, in the first six months of 2013 the number of houses made with private funds grew by 1,264 houses and the number of houses made with public funds went down by 471 houses.
