Gojira, Primordial and Septicflesh, incendiary shows at Rockstadt Extreme Fest 2013

The lovers of extreme sound levels had the privilege, on August 29-31, to see and listen live to some of the most appreciated bands of the genre both from Romania and abroad, under the aegis of the Rockstadt Extreme Fest. Gojira, Septicflesh, Textures, Primordial, Napalm Death, Decapitated, Abigail, Trooper, Indian Fall, only some of the most awaited bands, offered exceptional shows, the base of the Rasnov Citadel becoming a veritable oasis of metalheads for the approximately 3,500-4,000 fans. The rock fans came from all over the country but also from abroad, from countries such as the United States, Mexico, Australia, Ireland, France, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, and they were properly welcomed, enjoying impeccable services but also reasonable prices. There were three days and nights with and about extreme metal, the festival taking place without incidents, those present, people of all ages including children aged 12-14, behaving calmly. This was appreciated by the locals too, a sign that we are gradually falling in line with the civilized world and we are starting to understand the essence of such artistic events. There was metal, there was adrenaline, there was “bang your heads,” energy, emotion, rain, wind, some mud, fatigue, but it was worth it! Probably the most annoying thing that took place during these days was the audience’s lack of reaction to many of the bands that performed excellently. It was the case of Gojira and Textures. Overall the event was a success from all points of view and the organizers deserve praise.
