As a part of the event to mark the 50 years anniversary, LeasePlan, world’s leader in the fleet management market, launched a challenge. From September 2 to October 7, 25 teams of LeasePlan employees will participate in a race, driving 20,000 kilometers through Europe, a press release announces. They will do their best to consume as little fuel as possible, and the team who gets the best ratio fuel consumption-mileage will be declared the winner. On September 13, the “LeasePlan – 50 years” car, an orange Audi, will get to Hungary and then to LeasePlan Romania on its way to Turkey, the next destination of the race. The car, with a petrol engine, the fuel most used at this moment, and with an advanced telematics Bosch system, will be able to record the track and the mileage, and all these details can be tracked in real time on the website leaseplan.com.
