Alexandru Visinescu avoids hearing

Torturer Alexandru Visinescu, former commander of the Communist prison at Ramnicu Sarat, was expected yesterday to be questioned at the General Prosecutor’s Office, but according to sources of the online newspaper gandul.info, he was hospitalized. Visinescu was also questioned last week for an hour by prosecutors who informed him he was charged with genocide. Prosecutors at the Criminal Prosecution and Investigation Department initiated the criminal investigation proceedings on Alexandru Visinescu for genocide charges.
