MAE: 21 Romanians repatriated from Syria

MAE (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) has announced that 21 Romanian citizens together with 2 relatives who are Syrian citizens were repatriated Wednesday  upon request from Syria through Lebanon via the land border crossing Jdeieh – Masnaa. The Romanian Embassy in Damascus ensured the road transport from Jdeieh to Hariri Airport in Beirut and the Romanian Embassy in Lebanon offered consular and logistic support, as well as food, water and medicine to the Romanian citizens. Since the outbreak of conflicts in Syria, the Romanian Embassy in Syria has repatriated 370 Romanian citizens through own procedures, the cited source reported. “MAE once again sends a call out to all Romanian citizens who are in Syria to immediately leave the state. A phone landline has been made available for Romanian citizens affected by the current situation in Syria (tel. +40.21.319.21.37 – within the Consular Department)”, the Ministry press release shows.
