The file regarding Hayssam’s flee from Romania, postponed

The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) postponed yesterday, for September 26, the trial regarding Omar Hayssam’s flee from Romania, the court having to set a new date because four witnesses were not cited and the file did not have the documents from the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI). The lawyer, 0Ioan Cazacu, who represents Mukhles and Mahmoud Omar, Omar Hayssam’s brothers said that they mentioned in front of the supreme court they cannot make any statement, because they have to “take note of all the evidence that is used against them”. We remind you that the Syrian Omar Hayssam was brought back to Romania seven years after his flee, being taken by the Romanian Police on July 19. He is incarcerated in the Margineni Prison since August 15. He is on trial for illegally crossing the border, together with his brothers Mukhles and Mahmoud and businessman Mustafa Tartoussi.
