Jazz concerts, book launchings and movies at the “Strada de C’Arte” Festival

Bucharest residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the greatest variety of quality cultural events, free of charge, at the third edition of the outdoor “Strada de C’Arte” Festival which will take place September 20 to 28, according to Mediafax.
The Boteanu Street will turn into a pedestrian area, hosting the greatest outdoor book fair in Bucharest. The most important publishing houses and bookstores, poetry recitals, live blues and jazz concerts, book launches, recycling workshops, film screenings, debates, contemporary art exhibitions and workshops dedicated to children will be part of a unique program the organizers from the Central University Library offer book and arts lovers.
The amphitheatre of the “Carrol I” Central Library will host on September 20, the Romanian Film White Night, which will begin at 7 p.m. The Romania Aspen Institute prepares the Festival of Ideas – a series of dialogues on cultural themes, on identity and migration, to which great artists from the “George Enescu” Festival and personalities present at the Bucharest Forum 2013 will be invited.
On the Boteanu street, the passionate young people from the Creative Recycling team will teach the visitors to create urban art from waste, and the small ones will take part in modeling, drawing and painting workshops, in contests and outdoors reading sessions on Children’s Street, in front of the Boteanu Church.
Galateca will impress the visitors with its sound and art installation “Close to collapse. A strident contact with Tomon Botez”. The Gallery is an outpost of the Henwood Library concept, and the titles of the well-known publishing house will be available both in the gallery shop and at a book fair stand. Royal Entrance (1, Dem I. Dobrescu Street) awaits visitors to “Discover Romania through stamps and art”, with an exhibition of Romfilatelia.
