While meeting the representatives of the National Tourism Resorts Association and of the Balneary Tourism Employers’ Organization on Friday in Baile Tusnad, Romania, SMEs, Business and Tourism Minister Maria Grapini stated that after the criticism that appeared in the press for the way in which Romania showed up at the International French Travel Market in Paris, she decided to see the design of Romania’s stand at international tourism fairs beforehand, stating that she does not want tourism agencies and companies to take part in fairs just because the stand is free, realitatea.net informs. According to her, Romania has to use the current tourism brand for two more years, a period in which she is waiting for the impact survey concerning the results of promoting the country under this brand. “For the time being we don’t have an extraordinary feedback on this tourism brand,” Grapini stated, adding that she is waiting for the associations’ and the specialists’ involvement in promoting tourism products. In other developments, the minister also stated that she will remain within the governmental team and will not be reshuffled, adding that she did not and does not have a conflict with Premier Victor Ponta.
