Uzina Vehicule (Vehicle Plant) and Uzina Mecanica si Sasiuri (Mechanical and Chassis Plant), the two large production units located on the Dacia industrial platform at Mioveni will have new managers beginning in October, the company owned by French Group Renault announced yesterday, as noted by Mediafax. At Uzina Vehicule, Cornel Olendraru will replace Charles Morillo, who has held the position since 2007 and is now retiring. 43-year-old Olendraru joined Dacia in 2010 initially as Production Manager at Uzina Mecanica si Sasiuri, then moving up to General Manager. Philippe Nottez will become manager of Uzina Mecanica si Sasiuri. The 54-year-old man has been employed with Renault since 1984 and has worked in production units at various plants owned by the Group. Nottez will replace Cornel Olendraru, the former manager of Uzina Mecanica si Sasiuri, coordinating the activity of 3,800 employees.
Uzina Vehicule ensures production of the following Dacia models: Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Duster, with 8,400 employees. The plant’s daily performance is 1,390 vehicles. The five models are industrialized through four departments – Pressing, Bodywork, Painting and Assembly.
