More funds for family medicine in 2014

The budget for family medicine in 2014 will account for 9 percent of the Health Insurance National Fund (FNASS), compared to the 5 percent amount that was consumed from FNASS in 2012, Health Minister Eugen Nicolaescu told Mediafax on Sunday. At the same time, more funds will be allotted to the family medicine and outpatient healthcare, as far as the latter is concerned, the same services as those given in the hospital will be provided, at lower costs. The package will not narrow the range of medical services, but will make it clear where and in what manner they are provided, by directing the patient,” the health minister explained.
