Negotiations for the privatisation of Oltchim to start within days

The negotiations for the privatisation of Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea will begin this week, with companies from Israel, Turkey, Romania and from the former Soviet space, Varujan Vosganian announced during a conference in which he presented a brief report on his activity as minister of Economy, HotNews.ro informs. Vosganian added that the plant significantly curbed its losses in September, after losses of EUR 700,000 in August. “Anyway, after being taken over in clinical death last February, Oltchim still exists now, increased its turnover twice and a half, stopped making losses and, before the vote in the Senate, during a discussion at the National Bank with officials in the supervisory sector, we concluded together that Oltchim can be financed through banks, which I believe is a great success of the management conducted by this ministry,” Vosganian said.
