Remus Borza resigns from Hidroelectrica

Remus Borza, member of the Supervisory Board at Hidroelectrica, resigned from the company, according to sources at Fondul Proprietatea, a minority shareholder of Hidroelectrica, realitatea.net informs. After one year at the helm of Hidroelectrica, then insolvent, criminal proceeding were initiated in Borza’s name for conflict of interest. His resignation had been anticipated by Prime Minister Victor Ponta himself. Last month, during a visit in Gorj County, Victor Ponta assured one of the locals that Borza would leave Hidroelectrica. Prosecutors claim that during his time as legal administrator of the company, Borza directed legal consultancy contracts, paid by Hidroelectrica, to his law firm.
