The trade unions of Metrorex and RATB decided to suspend the strike announced for Monday and Tuesday, after negotiations conducted at the Ministry of Transportation, Agerpres reports. “During negotiations, we were also promised that the wages in all subsidised companies will be indexed with the inflation, as of January 1, 2014,” said Ion Radoi, the president of the Joint Trade Unions of Metro Workers (USLM), after negotiations with the Metrorex Administration. He added that the negotiations were also attended by Nicusor Marian Buica, state secretary with the Transportation Ministry.
“If the collective work contract will not be signed next week, we might reschedule the general strike. Anyway, we will announce next week whether the strike will be rescheduled or the labour conflict of Metrorex will be extinguished,” Ion Radoi added
