PM Ponta, Renault-Nissan CEO underscore need for EU funds



Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Friday welcomed President and CEO of Renault-Nissan Carlos Ghosn , underscoring at the meeting the need to support efficient cooperation in order to consolidate the competitiveness of the Romanian units of Renault in the global automotive industry and also boost the technological potential of automotive manufacturing in Romania, according to Agerpres. Ponta also appreciated the Renault Group for its business in Romania, its important size in the Romanian economy, its concerns with developing highly performing technological solutions and ensuring job stability, the Romanian Government reports in a press release. ‘We are carrying out together joint projects that we support with all our heart and we want the Renault business in Romania to be highly performing in the long run,’ Ghosn is quoted as having said. He also reconfirmed the importance of the Romanian business to the Renault Group and the satisfaction of the company’s management over the developments in the business framework in the automotive industry.
