Realitatea Media is accused of money laundering

Upon inspections at public institutions in connection to their business relationship with Realitatea Media SA, a report was drafted by the government and submitted to the Parliament, showing evidence of company representatives committing what may be considered ‘false deeds by private signature’, Mediafax informs. The report was drafted by the PM’s Inspection Body following inspections carried out at the Ministry of Development, the National Tourism Authority, the Self-governing Department for Administration of the State Heritage and Protocol (RA-APPS) and ‘Coresi’ National Printing House Company, with regard to the conclusion, alteration and termination of business relationships between these institutions and SC Realitatea Media SA. According to the Inspection Body report, the inspections were initiated by order from the Prime Minister and were based on public information according to which “The state owns Realitatea Media money.” On Wednesday, the report was sent to Tiberiu Nitu, General Prosecutor, for “analysis and the necessary legal action.”
