The Romanian Army Day is celebrated through several events organized today and yesterday in localities that have army units and within army bases located in theaters of operations, puterea.ro informs. Defence Minister Mircea Dusa attended yesterday in Sibiu the military oath ceremony in which freshmen from the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy took part. Subsequently the minister attended the ceremony of awarding the Military Virtue National Order with War Insignia to the Battle Flag of the 32nd Battalion. The ceremony took place in Timisoara. Wreaths and flowers will be laid today in Bucharest at the Heroes Monument (Tineretului Park) and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (“Carol I” Defense University). At the same time, the “King Ferdinand I” National Military Museum in Bucharest will have an Open Doors Day.
