The Constitutional Court (CC) will discuss on November 13 the notification submitted by President Traian Basescu regarding the law that approves the Memorandum of Understanding between the Romanian state and The Rompetrol Group N.V. President Basescu notified CC over the law that approves this memorandum, saying that the law has as object the approval of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Romanian state, as owner of the shares held in S.C. “Rompetrol Rafinare” – S.A. and The Rompetrol Group N.V. Recently, the Senate rejected the re-examining demand in which President Basescu demanded in July 2013 the rejection of the law that approves the Memorandum of Understanding between the Romanian state and Rompetrol, signed in Bucharest on 15 February 2013.
