Switzerland donates CHF 20 M to Romanian SMEs



Minister Maria Grapini announced in a press conference held Thursday at the headquarters of PNL Timis, that SMEs can access funds from a donation made by Switzerland to Romania, worth a total CHF 20 M, Mediafax reports. “We no longer have to wait for the money of the Romanian state. (…) Each SME will be able to take CHF 100,000 and then return to the state, with a good interest rate. It is an agreement with the Swiss state, the money is donated. We hope that, starting 2014, we will be able to work with other market rules for SMEs,” Grapini mentioned. The minister added that a law of SMEs is being drafted. Minister Maria Grapini also attended a meeting held in Timisoara with entrepreneurs from this city and from Arad, together with Finance minister Daniel Chitoiu and Labour minister Mariana Campeanu.
