Craiova-based Ford plant temporarily stops production of engines

The managers of the Ford Romania company decided to temporarily stop the production of engines of the plant in Craiova (southern Romania), starting in November, as a consequence of the precarious situation of the automotive market in Europe, after in September they decided to temporarily stop the production of vehicles of the Craiova-based plant. The officials of Ford Romania say in a release sent to Agerpres that by this decision Ford Romania goes on adjusting, depending on the demand, its production of the Craiova plant in November too, when, besides the 2,500 employees working in the vehicle section that will stay at home 13 workdays, another 1,400 employees working in the engine producing plant will shorten their month by eight workdays.
