KILIPIRIM kicks off today

A new edition of Romania’s top discounted book fair, KILIPIRIM, kicks off today in Bucharest. Hosted by the Dalles Gallery on October 30 – November 3, 2013 from 10.00 AM and 8.00 PM each day, KILIPIRIM is a unique opportunity for the public of the capital to buy books with substantial discounts, published by the most important local houses. Humanitas, Curtea Veche, Polirom, Cartea Romaneasca, Nemira, Trei, Litera, Orizonturi, Univers, Corint Junior, Aramis, Girasol, House of Guides, Vivaldi, Prut, Noi Media Print are just part of the publishing houses represented with stands at KILIPIRIM. During the fair, each exhibitor operates substantial price cuts: the newest books can be bought with a discount of 10 pc, while the older titles can be discounted as much as 70 pc.
During the five days of Kilipirim, organisers entice the public with events dedicated to children, teenagers as well as experienced readers, under the motto ‘vintage / oldies, but goldies.’ Simplicity, elegance, correct speaking, reading at home are just few of the approached themes.
On the upper floor of Sala Dalles, as part of the Spirituality and Complementary Therapies Festival ‘A New Dimension,’ visitors can purchase books and esoteric products, or they can attend the permanent programme of conferences on general themes of personal development or life quality improvement techniques.
Launched in 2005 and reaching the eight year of existence, KILIPIRIM is among the most popular book-related projects in Bucharest. A landmark in the cultural agenda of all book fans, the event attracted over 250,000 visitors during its 15 editions.
