Romanian tourist attractions to be displayed on cabs in London

Beginning in the second half of next year, Romania will have a new national and international promotional website that will be created through an international bid, Razvan Filipescu, chairman of ANT (the National Tourism Authority), stated, as cited by Mediafax. “We will devise a PR campaign designed for external markets by developing an online platform promoting Romania as part of the 2014-2015 campaign and we will continue to make co-productions with international television companies,” Filipescu said at the World Travel Market Fair taking place from November 4 to November 7 in London.
In addition, Romania will start an outdoor promotional campaign next year worth over EUR 5 million and entailing multiple countries. The campaign will consist of advertisements in subways, airports, highways, buses, and the famous London cabs. “We will initiate a project for promoting Romania outdoors on target markets (U.S., Austria, France, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, etc.) and opportunity markets such as Israel, Turkey, or the Republic of Moldova,” the ANT chairman pointed out. “Various outdoor promotional methods are being taken into account. For instance in Great Britain, Romania will be advertised on cabs, buildings, in subways, and airports. Romania’s tourist products will be promoted based on a very detailed analysis of each market in particular. Cultural tourism, nature tourism, and ecotourism, will be subject to promotion,” he added. Romanian tourist attractions will be displayed on approximately 150 cabs in London.
