Gaudeamus book fair opens on Nov 20

The 2013 edition of the Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair will be held between November 20-24 at the Romexpo Exhibition Hall in Bucharest. This year’s edition celebrates two special anniversaries: 85 years since the first radio programmed aired by Radio Romania and 20 editions of the book fair. According to organizers, the official opening of the event will take place on November 20 at noon. This year, the guest of honour is the group of the Nordic countries, i.e. Denmark, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. These states had also the mission to designate the president of honour of this edition, Anders Bengtcén, Sweden’s ambassador in Bucharest. The fair is organized annually at the Central Pavilion of the Romexpo Exhibition Hall and gathers over 400 Romanian and foreign publishing houses in an exhibiting area of 14.000 sqm.
