Young painters against drugs

CIADO Romania wanted to set a new European record by organising, jointly with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a large-scale and complex event against drugs, considered to be the biggest of its kind in Europe. The event consisted in exhibiting, Saturday in the Unirii Park of Bucharest, 1,000 meters of painting made on plastic-coated material, using acrylic paints specifically customized for this event, by CIADO volunteers from the Dimitrie Paciurea high-school of Bucharest. The paintings express the youths’ perception of drug consumption and the advice addressed by the CIADO volunteers to the civil society, the media and the political class to treat with maximum responsibility the phenomenon of the increasing drug consumption in Romania.
