Tenaris promises to continue investment in Romania

Premier Victor Ponta thanked the representatives of Tenaris Silcotub, whom he received at the Victoria Palace, yesterday, for their most recent investment in this country, informs a release the Government. The Premier talked with a delegation of the Tenaris Silcotub Company, headed by Michele Della Briotta, Managing Director Eastern Europe at Tenaris and Executive Vice President Silcotub S.A. at Tenaris, who informed the Head of Government of the inauguration on Wednesday, as Nine O’Clock reported already, of a production line for tubes with premium connections, which are used by oil companies in difficult environments, a USD 62 M investment. Through this new production line in Zalau, Salaj County (north-west of Bucharest), over 130 new jobs were created. Michele Della Briotta said that Tenaris was planning to go on developing its presence in Romania. The investments of this company in Romania already top 300 million dollars.
