On December 1 at Sala Palatului, the band The Straits will perform some of their most memorable tracks, such as ‘Money for Nothing,’ ‘Sultans of Swing,’ ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ and ‘Private Investigation,’ in an unforgettable live show for true fans of the genre. On the National Day of Romania, two of Dire Straits’ original band members, Chris White and Alan Clark, accompanied by a number of very gifted and acclaimed musicians, including drummer Steve Ferrone (who collaborated with Eric Clapton and Slash), Terrence Reis, Michael Feet (known for his collaboration with Art Garfunkel and David Gilmour), Jamie Square, and Adam Phillips (guitarist for Cher and Rod Stewart’s bands) will be belting out old hits on the stage set up at Sala Palatului.
Dire Straits is one of the most influential bands in the history of music and their sound helped innovate and inspire many generations of artists. In 1996, the British band stopped performing, but a few year ago, some of the original members reunited for a noble cause and revived the Dire Straits spirit in the heart of listeners the world over. The Straits have since been traveling around the globe, creating authentic live rock shows for those who have not had the chance to see and hear their favorite band live.
