Thursday, 28 November, 13.00, at The Taranul Roman Museum, in Horia Bernea Room, Casiopeea Association organized the breast prostheses handing over ceremony. The event marked another year of successful projects in the fight with an unmerciful disease, which affects hundreds of women every year, breast cancer.
The Casiopeea Running Contest against breast cancer is the most important event organized annually by Casiopeea Organization. The almost 3000 participants at this year’s event, had contributed to the fundraising for the purchase of the breast prostheses given at the last day event.
Alongside the main sponsors and partners: GDF SUEZ Energy România, VEOLIA ENVIRONNEMENT, Decathlon Romania, Renault, GSK, LAFARGE, Banca Italo Romena, Michelin, Arta Grafica, Carrefour, Hellenic Coca Cola, Groupama Asigurari, Cora, Erka Synergy Communication and the prevention partner – Clinicile Anima,Casiopeea Organization showed their support to all those women fighting to defeat this disease by giving them 300 external breast prosthesis.
This direct help which these women received is the most effective way to turn a sad story to a happy ending one. The beneficiaries of these donations aren’t only the women who are affected by this disease but also their family and the society itself.
Besides the physical effects that a mastectomy surgery has on a woman body one should not ignore the psychological aspect. The aesthetic correction that they benefit from represents a return to normalcy and wellbeing for each and every woman who defeated the disease.
This noble cause was endorsed by stars like: Monica Davidescu, Medeea Marinescu, Laura Badea, Corina Ungureanu and Florentina Opris.
