Leonard Orban appointed chairman of board of European Institute in Romania

Prime Minister Victor Ponta appointed former Minister of European Affairs Leonard Orban as chairman of the Board of Directors (CA) of the European Institute in Romania, according to Mediafax. According to the same document, Vasile Puscas, Aneta Bogdan, Dan Oancea and Razvan Teodorescu have been appointed as members of the institute’s Board of Directors. On October 23, 2012 Leonard Orban did not secure the necessary number of votes in the plenum of the European Parliament to fill the position of member of the European Court of Auditors, with his candidacy being rejected.
