Tonitza’s ‘Gladioli’ is put up for auction for estimated price of 80,000-130,000 euros

Nicolae Tonitza’s painting ‘Gladioli’ is the best appreciated at the auction ‘Meeting with Masterpieces,’ which is organized by the Grimberg house in Bucharest on December 10. It is estimated at 80,000-130,000 euros. According to a release sent to Agerpres, the fund of the Grimberg auction house for the event of December 10 is estimated at 1.5 million euros and includes many well-known names of the Romanian fine arts, which are highly appreciated on the arts market, such as Nicolae Tonitza, Theodor Pallady, Camil Ressu, Gheorghe Petrascu, Samuel Mutzner and Theodor Aman. In preparation of the December 10 auction, the Grimberg art gallery organizes the exhibition presenting the works included in the auction fund, whose opening took place on Tuesday at the headquarters of the gallery, at 1 Bd Carol in Bucharest. The exhibition will be open till December 6 at the headquarters of the gallery and on December 7-10 in the lobby of the ArCub hall.
