Aurel Vainer, Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor and Baruck Tercatin, decorated



Deputy Aurel Vainer, Chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania, Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor, the President of the European Jewish Congress and engineer Baruch Tercatin, writer and a journalist, were decorated by President Traian Basescu following a decree signed on Wednesday, informs the Presidential Administration, quoted by Agerpres. The decorations were offered by the head of the state ‘as a token of appreciation for their high moral standards and professional conduct proven throughout their careers, for their decisive contribution to the preservation of the Jewish heritage and to the improvement of the inter-religious dialogue, as well as for the consolidation of the Romanian-Jewish ties and for promoting Romania’s image worldwide,’ said the above mentioned source.
