Three years after inauguration of Epoque, the five star boutique hotel, placed right near Cismigiu Park in Bucharest, will end the year with a 17.5 per cent increase of incomes, from RON 7.3 M last year, plus two new investments: a conference hall – with an investment of EUR 500,000, and a rebranded restaurant – EUR 50,000.
“The leisure segment helped us very much,” explained Diana Popescu, Epoque & L’ Atelier Owner during the launching event of the restaurant “L’Atelier – l’art culinaire.” “We are working on the budget for 2014. Next year we will make budget centres for each segment alone, but we want 20 per cent of incomes to come from organising conferences, 10 per cent from the restaurant and the remaining 70 per cent from accommodation. The average occupancy rate at 10 months was 65 per cent, followed by 90 per cent in November. Out of the tourists which accommodate at the hotel, 85 per cent come from abroad, mostly from Germany, France and England,” she added.
Also, Epoque Hotel launched the French restaurant “L’Atelier – l’art culinaire”, which is addressed the gastronomes and French cuisine enthusiasts as well as those who seek a unique culinary-artistic experience. In the French restaurant, the guests can discover the creations made ??by Stephane Simond, Executive Chef at Epoque Hotel from May, a true passionate of the French haute cuisine school, with over 20 years experience in 4-5 stars hotels and starred Michelin restaurants, last one being in Jakarta, Indonesia. The menu is structured in seasonal dishes, house specialties and signature dishes and is renewed each season. (A.B.)
