Yellow alert warning for snows, high winds in 18 counties

The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) issued on Thursday a yellow alert warning for snows and high winds for 18 counties. According to the ANM, from December 6, at 6:00 am, to 7 December, at 02:00 pm, it will snow, in the first part of the day, in the Apuseni Mountains and the Eastern Carpathians, and afterwards in the other massifs. The wind will pick up, with gusts of over 70 km per hour, and of over 100 km per hour on the high peaks, with snow blizzards. The ANM informs that wind intensification will also be in the lower areas of intra-Carpathian regions, but at lower speeds (55-60 km per hour), and low snowing will be recorded on small areas.
