Calarasi Parliamentary Commission operational as of today

CEC Bank Chairman Radu Ghetea, director of BNR’s Supervision Direction Nicolae Cinteza and Finance Minister Daniel Chitoiu are set today to attend hearings at the Senate’s Budget-Finance Commissions, with the commission’s president stating he is sure they would come.
President Traian Basescu said on Saturday that it is a very good thing that the commission begins its activity on Monday. “It’s not bad at all. Perhaps the politicians will start learning how to be upright, they should take out loans, not steal agricultural lands from ADS (State Domains Agency),” Traian Basescu said on Saturday in a supermarket.
With regards to the company to suffer penalties for not working the land they took out a lease on from Ioana Basescu, the head of state said “he has nothing to do” with these things.
Amygo MT and Royalagro, the companies that took out a lease on the land purchased by Ioana Basescu in Calarasi, will suffer penalties worth RON 143,000 imposed by APIA, for not working the land until Dec. 1, according to the law, despite they received the subsidies for 2013.
